We know that some brides want to bring it BIG on their wedding day- in the most glamorous, rock-star way possible. For our Glam-Rock theme, we didn’t delve too deeply into KISS or Def Leppard, but we did crank up the sparkle, satin and shine in the gowns. Our makeup and hair are derived from early 80’s glamour.
We went with big, feminine, pink, and fluffy for our Southern styling. Tara Keely and Watters are our biggest contributors to the gowns!
When we found out Leanne Marshall would be in attendance at our event, we knew there was only one place that would be appropriate for such an awesome guest.
The beautiful Hotel Deluxe, situated Southwest of the Pearl near Jeld Wen Field, has graciously agreed to house Leanne! We are smitten with their incredible foyer, the grandiose Gracie’s restaurant, the art deco sentimentality, and, of course, Driftwood’s happy hour. We even set up some super glam photos of the finale gown in the foyer and Gracie’s.
The hotel is an elegant wedding venue, with three different spots to have your event. View their wedding details here.
The gown….. is….. DONE! Now, don’t go having a heart attack- we still haven’t seen the beaded bolero completed- but we got an eyeful this weekend when Karina, Jennifer, and our model Sharice came into the shop for the final fitting of the gown.
With a few small adjustments to the bust, (and, of course, the completion of the bolero), the gown is going to be ready for the photo shoot we’re having on Wednesday. We will have photography by (of course) Ashley Forrette, headpiece by Emily Riggs Bridal, flowers by Alicia, and jewelry by Avenue 5.
